I´m Jo and I´m a fully qualified English teacher with 12 year´s experience of teaching all ages and levels. I´ve prepared hundreds of students for Cambridge and Trinity exams as well as helping others pursue their passion for English in general English and conversation lessons. I have a degree in English and psychology and both a Cert. TESOL and a Dip.TESOL.

I´m really passionate about English and sharing that passion and my knowledge with others. My teaching style is very communicative, interactive and fun. I motivate my students to be the best learners they can be and always have a great rapport with everyone I teach.

As well as being a dedicated language teacher, I´m also a keen language learner and, having lived in Spain for more than 10 years, have learnt Spanish to C2 level. The relationship between language and culture is something that fascinated me while studying Spanish and I always expose my students to British culture by incorporating facts about the way of life in Britain. At the moment, I´m studying Portuguese as I am currently living in the North of Portugal. I feel that my experience as a language learner has enabled me to understand and empathise with both the joys and frustrations that my students experience during their language learning journey.
