I´m a native English Teacher from the UK. I am a Graduate (BA Hons) and I am CELTA qualified with over 6 years’ experience teaching ESL/EFL to a range of levels and ages. I have experience with general, conversation, Cambridge exam preparation, Business English and English for specific purposes. I moved to Barcelona in 2012 to continue teaching. I have tutored adults, teenagers and children privately, in company and in classrooms. I have a B2 level of Spanish.
I discovered passion for teaching whilst at school, helping younger children with learning disabilities to read. My next time teaching was a project in South African primary schools for environmental education. These experiences coupled with a lifelong love of English led to the decision to do a CELTA and start a career in teaching English. I volunteered as an ESL teacher in London after the CELTA and worked at an English Summer Camp in Reading before moving to Barcelona. I have enjoyed teaching in Barcelona for 5 years so far.
I enjoy creating fun and dynamic lessons. I am creative person who writes stories in my spare time, along with reading a wide variety of books, painting, making documentaries, volunteering, keeping fit and travelling. I'm open-minded, friendly and compassionate; and I work hard with students to achieve their goals. I'm always learning and always improving.
