Hello! My name is Christopher and I've been an English teacher since 2015. I'm 29 years old and have lived and taught in three countries - Vietnam, Colombia and the United States. I have a Bachelor of Science in Print Journalism and a CELTA certificate. I teach communicatively and specialize in the American accent and accent reduction. Basically, I try to teach through having the learner speak as much as possible with a heavy focus on pronunciation. Futher, I help with specific phonemes in English like the /th/ as well as the particulars of American speech like connected speech - "gonna." Through my own experience learning languages and trying to communicate - pronunciation is extremely important. If people don't recognize the words you say then it's much harder to talk to someone.
