Hey everyone, are you ready to begin speaking English more fluently? Are you interested in getting more practice with a native speaker? Maybe you want to work on your self-confidence when you're speaking English with others or outside of the classroom? If so, you've come to the right place! I'm Bilal Brian, an American expat who's currently living and working in Oman and who is new to Verbling. I am a TEFL-certified teacher with nearly 8 years of experience teaching English at both the college and university level and am currently working on a master's degree in applied linguistics with a focus on teaching English as a second language. Many people have their focus and preference on what they enjoy teaching, in my case, speaking is number one. I have years of experience in teaching students how to talk in English, overcome their shyness, and also increase the confidence that they have in themselves and in their skills. My teaching style revolves around using real world materials (books, magazines, TV shows, news programs, movies, and more), drawing vocabulary from these sources and using this vocabulary to talk about the theme or subject of the material. I'm also studying Arabic, so I know what it's like to be a language student. Because of that, I'm quite patient and definitely dedicated to seeing my students succeed and become proud of themselves. Don't be afraid, let's start working together and let me help you reach your goals.
