REMINDER 1: Please let me know if you have specific topics or textbooks you want to talk about or learn at least 3 days before the scheduled time you prefer. I need time to prepare for the lesson, it doesn't mean I need WHOLE 3 days, but I also have other students' materials and work waiting for me to deal with. Also, I may not be the best teacher to teach you that topic or with the book you want. I will tell you honestly that I believe there are teachers who are more suitable for those topics or textbook-based materials. So that you don't feel like you waste your time and money on me :)
REMINDER 2: Please read the friendly reminder at the bottom section. Those are important things to know for having a lesson together, thank you :)
I'm a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan. I have more than 1.5 years Mandarin teaching experiences online. Customizing lessons for each individual student is what usually I do for my classes but I also have planned lessons especially for beginners. I like to talk to my students in advance to get the information for creating their own lessons. (Check REMINDER 1 above.) I believe every single person has their own way of learning. And my job is helping them with the suitable way for them. So let me know if you have any specific topics that you're interested in before you book the lessons. (REMINDER 1 above) I focus on conversational practice (listening and speaking) the most, but I also explain grammar and vocabulary along the process. Are you ready? Let's practice, shall we?
More about Yi-Cheng:
I'm the creator of Mandarin Teacher Next Door ( https://mandarinteachernextdoor.com/ ) I write posts for people who are interested in learning Mandarin and knowing more about Taiwan. Those content are usually more daily, conversational, and fun facts or information! I look forward to seeing you there, too.
*I will wait for each lesson even if you're late. If student joins before class ends, we will have the lesson during the remaining minutes. It will not prolong to make up for student being late. (Late for class or absent completely still pay the whole lesson.)
*No-show-ups without telling reasons at least 24 hours in advance or telling after class session times starts, still needs to pay for the whole lesson, since the teacher already saved that time slot for you due to your original request.
*If you REALLY have special reasons for not being able to make it for the class (and it's less than 24 hours before the lesson starts), we can discuss about it (ps. It doesn't mean our side needs to accept, since overall it doesn't give us enough time to re-open the time slot and allow other students to book it.) , but please notify the teacher ASAP in advance.
Everyone's time is precious, so let's respect each other's.
