Hi Everyone, This is Ying. 大家好,我是莹。很高兴在这个平台上认识大家!
As a student, I was majoring at Business English in Mainland China and after that I gained the certification - Teaching English as a Second Language in the U.S. I have great understanding about learning language and further linked to my teaching with the second language learning background. I am about to graduate from the Master program in education with comprehensive acknowledge focusing on child and adolescents development.
As a teacher, my passion for teaching brings me a lot of joy to come up with creative ideas to my teaching,which helps to motivate students’ learning. Basically, I usually do a quick learning analysis at first so that I know how to participant and interact with the student. It mostly concludes “goal”, “objectives”, “materials”, “procedures”, and “assessment”. After giving useful guidelines in order for them to achieve their learning target, in language teaching, I believe in learner-centered instruction.I will courage my students to talk as much as they can and be the “center” in the learning process to build up the foundation. I believe not only in teaching the Chinese language itself, but also in sharing a cultural understanding about my motherland. So the next step is to do more comprehensive input in reading, listening, free talk and writing. Besides, For teaching kids, I also like to tailor my teaching methods towards children's temperament, skill, and age, which links with Master degree research focus at Children and adolescent development. Last but not least, Communication is apparently an essential key to an effective teaching and learning process. I like to reflect my teaching and make changes time to time in order to match with achieving students’ learning needs.
My biggest goal is that to make Chinese learning as a fun process that students would not only take it just as a challenging task to achieve, however, by the end of the day, they can use it as a tool to communicate like native speakers.
