Hi everybody! This question is for teachers and learners alike.
A student of mine recently came across a unit in a book she's studying which was dense with phrasal verbs and left her a bit dizzy. And I started wondering whether phrasal verbs are worth bothering with much at all - maybe they are, but maybe they aren't.
Which phrasal verbs are, in your opinion, "the essential ones" which "everybody" needs to know in order to get through any everyday ordinary conversation in English?
