Hi! I'm Roberta, I'm from Gorla Minore, a small city near Milan. I'm attending the second year of Master degree in Mathematical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. I really like languages, in fact I can speak very well French, English and Spanish. I've been an online student since a while, so I know how a lecture works. I think that the best way to learn a language is concentrating mainly onto the speaking part, so during my lessons we'll talk a lot about different topics. In fact I have a lot of interests, such as watching movies and TV series, reading books, Math, travelling and discovering new cultures and people; so we'll have a lot of things we can talk about together and you'll enrich your vocabulary. I'm looking forward to talking to you!! See you soon :)

Ciao! My name is Michela. Nice to meet you! I am bilingual, Italian and English native speaker and I live in Genoa, a beautiful city in the North of Italy. I have a degree in Architecture and a qualification for the profession of Tour Leader. As tour leader I lead groups of Italian and English speaking tourists around Italy and Europe. I really like being with people, I am very interested in different cultures and have natural predisposition to interpersonal relationships. I have been teaching Italian for five years and I am often asked to organize lessons for foreign tourists in order to quickly learn the Italian necessary to be understood when travelling in Italy. My approach to teaching is very dynamic and informal, yet professional and aimed at making you learn and improve your Italian skills. I like focusing my lessons on conversation, reading and listening, alternated to grammar and structural aspects of the language. Always flexible and available to meet your needs. Italian people do like so much talking and chatting! Always with a smile and in complete relax. You decide the topics and I will get your Italian improved! Grammar, pronunciation and tailored lessons to your needs. During our first lesson we will talk about your goals and I will assess your level of Italian, so that we can shape the following lessons on your interests and needs. CIAO, TI ASPETTO!

Hi! My name is Martina and I'm a qualified and experienced Italian teacher. I am cheerful and very patient and I strive to make my classes as enjoyable and engaging as possible, because I believe that it's easier to learn if you're relaxed and having a good time. I always provide LEARNING RESOURCES and WRITTEN MATERIALS that you can keep for future reference. If you want to learn from scratch I will guide you step by step, with a progression of classes that will make you able to understand and speak with ease in everyday-situations. If you already know some Italian and want to take it to the next level I'll help you progress designing classes around what you need to improve and developing your strenghts. No matter your level, we can build on that. I'll tailor the contents and topics of classes based on what you're passionate about and your learning purpose. We'll deal with grammar in a communicative context, to look at how it works in real life situations, using various resources such as texts and news articles, videos and dialogues, songs. We can choose whether to focus on conversation, writing, listening, reading or to practice all four of them, depending on your needs and goals. I can also help you with specific practical tasks such as formal writing or translating, preparing for presentations and interviews, improving your pronunciation or if you need to tackle specific subjects (grammar, vocabulary, art, language for travel...) I first started teaching when I still attended school, volunteering as a peer-tutor, and then continued it as a beloved job: I've been teaching different age groups, from very young students to adults. For several years I also worked for an infant psychologist so I have experience in helping children with learning disabilities. I graduated in Foreign Languages and Intercultural Studies, which gave me a humanities background and formal training in teaching a foreign language, advanced linguistics, and translation. Feel free to message me if you have any questions, I'm here to help you!

Hi everyone! I am a native speaker of Italian, born and raised in a small town in the north-east of Italy, near beautiful Venice. I can relate well with my students, as I am also always trying to learn new languages and I know how frustrating it can be sometimes! Because of that, my number one priority is to really understand what my students needs are, so that they can improve and feel super confident about the language they are learning. If I was able to learn different foreign languages, YOU can do it too! I will teach you all the techniques that helped me and are still helping me, when I am learning a language. I started teaching in 2001 and never stopped ever since. I have experience teaching Italian, English and French in different settings. In the past, I taught in state funded schools in England (GCSEs and ‘A’ levels), in private international schools, in foreign languages schools, but also privately, and I am currently teaching in a private foreign languages school in Valencia, Spain. I have experience teaching: Italian, English, and French to children, teen-agers and adults of different nationalities (including British, American, French, Spanish, Italian and many others).  Where did I study to become a teacher and a translator/interpreter? I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE for Italian and French) from the University of Cumbria (UK) and a Master's degree in Professional Translation (English > Italian) from Swansea University (UK), as well as a B.A. (Hons) in Translation and Interpreting from Scuola Universitaria Per Mediatori Linguistici di Vicenza (Tertiary Institution for Translators and Interpreters of Vicenza, Italy).  How do I know what my students need? When I first meet my students, I always ask what their goals are, so that I can base my lessons on those and I can make sure I cater for all their needs. I am happy changing my teaching style based on my students and what suits them better. I can teach every important aspect of the Italian language. My lessons can be based on speaking, listening, writing, reading, grammar, and culture or it can just focus on one specific aspect.  What can I help you with? - Exams, tests and assignments or I can help you in the areas you find more challenging during your Italian lessons at school or university, - work presentations or any other business-related material, - being able to survive in the real world, if you are planning to go to Italy on vacation, for work or if you are planning to move there or already live there. I am also a translator and interpreter and if there are any other aspects of the language you would like to discover with me, I am always open to new challenges and projects. I cannot wait to teach you all very soon. Take care and ciao for now!

Beyond working directly with students, I also enjoy developing new course materials, using authentic materials and creating activities. Furthermore, I consider creativity an important aspect of writing and speaking. I encourage my students to use language creatively to express themselves. Indeed, I am very fond of free practice activities. Cancellations and No-Shows policy: I require at least 24 hours notice to reschedule, as it is not possible to reassign those time slots to other students. So please pay attention to the calendar and cancel the lesson if you can't attend. After that time, lessons will be considered as completed.
