Adults (18+) - Insegnanti e tutor di lingua tedesca
I am a professional language teacher with over 15 years experience in teaching German as a foreign/second language. Whether you are just starting out or would like to learn German for work, study, research, travel, or simply socializing with your friends and family, working together, we can identify your language skills and create a program that will help you achieve your language goals. I offer general language courses (A1 – C2) and specialized lessons with a focus on conversation, vocabulary practice, grammar review, reading, writing, test preparation (Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, telc, etc.), and application training. I strongly believe that communication is key to learning languages. I, therefore, adopt a communicative and intercultural approach to language learning that integrates the teaching and practice of grammar. My educational background is in German language, literature, and linguistics. Before becoming a professional German language teacher, I worked as a literary translator and interpreter. I also studied music (classical piano and music theory). I speak four languages, and I’m currently learning the fifth one. My experience in learning languages has a significant impact on my teaching style – I know what works and what doesn’t. It would be a great honor and pleasure for me to assist you in acquiring any necessary language skills you need to succeed in a German-speaking environment. I look forward to working with you! If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me!
Hello, thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Kay and I give German lessons online. I have experience teaching German and English to German natives and to foreigners. I also have experience writing and editing texts for publication, and I have corrected many texts written by non-native German speakers on a different language learning website. I can speak English fluently, so I am able to explain finer points of German in that language as well. I have worked with children deemed "difficult" by others, but I have learned that those labels do not matter and instead try to keep an open mind with every new student and try to help them in their unique situation. I am supportive and easy-going. I am flexible in the way I correct (few or many corrections) and the topics we talk about. I can and do explain grammar, but I'd prefer not to give a grammar lesson and monologue for one hour. I like when my students know what they want and what their goal is, because then I can help them in the best and most efficient way. I am interested in a variety of topics: I like sports, culture, food, entertainment, reading, and much more. I like travelling and getting to know new countries, new people, and new cultures. I am currently learning Spanish in order to travel to Spain for an extended period of time.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM CURRENTLY ONLY TAKING BEGINNER STUDENTS I am a 26 year old German and English teacher originally from London. In July 2015 I graduated from Bangor University with a BSc degree in Sports Science and German, a course which included a year studying in Leipzig. Through this course and year abroad, I have developed a fluent level of the German language. I would be happy to teach you: Grammar topics, conversation classes, vocabulary classes, GCSE and A-Level help and just have general chit chat. I was an intern at the Wales German Network, a scheme which tries to improve the German teaching standard in Welsh schools. In this role I planned, taught and delivered masterclasses for pupils of German from age 12-18. So again, a low level to a high level.
